Supported Charities

An incredible foundation committed to the healing of burn survivors through annual burn camps for young children. Through annual community support of the Mountain View Firefighters pancake breakfast, over $60,000 has been donated to this extremely worthy cause.

For the past several years the Mountain View Firefighters have annually served over 400 holiday meals for senior citizens in our community. This is a wonderful partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and Nob Hill grocery store which provides much needed nourishment to an under served community in a particularly difficult time of the year.

Mountain View Firefighters have raised approximately $11,000 in two years to help find the cure for cancer. As firefighters cancer is an occupational concern and as family members it would be uncommon to not know another family member, a neighbor, or a co-worker who hasn’t been affected by this disease. As we enjoy the company of family, friends, community members, co-workers and retired firefighters who come out and spend a day and night in Cuesta Park, we are constantly reminded of the ongoing and necessary effort to eradicate cancer and the sadness it leaves behind. Bring your family, your sense of humor and have some fun while raising money for a good cause.

Each year the Mountain View Firefighters offer 4 scholarships in the amount of $750. Three scholarships are specifically set aside for graduating seniors of Mountain View High Schools continuing on to either college or vocational training. One scholarship is offered to the graduating dependent of a living or deceased Mountain View Firefighter. If no dependent is available then this scholarship is offered to an additional graduating student. We are privileged to offer these scholarships in the name of two well respected Battalion Chiefs whose lives were cut short by cancer.
